Snow & Warm up Locations

Finally.... some snow arrived last night! The long range looks great for next weekend with nice temps around -5.  Volunteers went out from Nakina yesterday and  set up another 'warm-up building' about half way between Nakina and Geraldton (close to the Greer Rd). To-day, some repairs are being made to one of the 2 locations between Longlac and Nakina where a bear decided to redecorate.

Things are looking great for the upcoming weekend. If you're planning to ride, drag along a friend who's sitting on the fence. A day on the LOOP is way more fun than sitting on the counch.

***CAUTION** Poker Run Participants Feb. 07/09 please be aware that the area around Murky Creek is somewhat short in the snow department. Please ride with CAUTION in this area. Have a safe and enjoyable ride.

Re: Snow & Warm up Locations

It appears that my earlier post has some people concerned over the trail conditions near the Murky Creek Bridge. My intent was  to simply Inform those riders that will be involved in the Poker Run, to give you an advanced notice regarding the snow depth near the Murky Creek Bridge. You will be encountering  LESS SNOW  in this area as compared to the rest of your ride. The above notice was not intended in any way to scare riders away, it is simply to give you a heads up on the snow conditions on that particular small section of trail.

Ride Safely
