The Greenstone Loop Poker Run has been scheduled for February 9th, 2008. The Poker Run will run through the communities of Geraldton, Longlac and Nakina covering a distance of 200 km. More information will be posted soon.
As a family we were really looking forward to the first GSL Poker Run, but we have a hockey tournament. Maybe next year!!

We when for a ride to Nakina today...(3 sheds) Wow Gaby Boulanger, and Mr. Lavoie and the others from Nakina did an awsome job on the trail this year... It was a great ride...
We are looking forward to the poker-run... Any chance you can let us know where the stop's (cards pick-up) will be along the way.
Is the start point at our local clubs?? Meaning to I "from Geraldton" start at the club house.. are will there be and other designated area to start.
I think the general concensess is that they want the it to be "counter clock wise".. meaning Nakina to Geraldton and Geraldton to Longlac and Longlac to Nakina... this would make less trafic meeting each other on the trails..

Yes, the snowmobiles will all be travelling in one direction.
I have not heard yet whether the poker run will start in Nakina or if you are able to start from your home club. There will be a meeting on the 17th and a decision will be made there. This will also answer your question of where the cards will be picked-up.
Awesome to hear that the Greenstone Loop trail is in good shape!
Good points Mike.
We want to participate but the hassles of getting the family and sleds to a Nakina start will likely prevent us from doing so. Having starts at each club house will likely bring out more folks.
