Hope this changes and we get more snow, but section from Longlac Clubhouse to town has very little snow and is very rough and bare in spots. The first five kms heading south on the Longlac section of the Loop is very rough, not enough snow to cover logs across trail, and not enough snow for snow bridge about 5 kms in - need to stop before crossing - signs there to advise riders to be careful.
Checked out Longlac section of Loop yesterday. Added snow was helpful. Still "rough" for first 5 kms, but better. The culvert crossing is better. Groomer doing trail on Friday - hopefully there is enough snow to build up culvert crossing. Extra markers and flag tape installed to warn riders.
Trail from Geraldton to Longlac was groomed on Last wednesday, trail is in pretty good shape. A few rock's to look for around the LD road.. extra signage was put up.
extensive brushing was done this pass Sunday, between Longlac and the Half way tower, there's still a few branches left on the ground, but most of the big stuff was taken down.. I walk about 15 km with the brush saw... so don't be complaining!!!!. next time come and help
The lake markers where put up this pass Monday,
Groomer will be back out tonight to touch trail from Geraldton "Greer extention to the lake" Lack of snow is making it chanllenging. Then along Hwy 584 between Errington rd. to the the golf club... it hasn't snow for 3 weeks. for some reason the plow had cut down a 4 inch snow bank.. covering this tail with snow muts!! which was groomed last friday.
Over all we are in great shape!!!
See you all at the poker run!!
